Welcome to Plato Pet Treats – Honestly Healthy Treats for Happy Dogs
At Plato Pet Treats, we believe pets are family, and they deserve the same care and quality nutrition as the people who love them. Our mission is to create honestly healthy dog treats made with real, wholesome ingredients that support longer, healthier lives for pets.
From the very beginning, our philosophy has been simple: better ingredients create better treats. That’s why every product we make is crafted with carefully selected ingredients that are easy to recognize and free from unnecessary fillers or artificial additives.
Today, Plato Pet Treats continues to serve pet parents who value nutrition, quality, and transparency in every treat they give their dogs.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide nutritious, high-quality pet treats that contribute to the health and happiness of dogs everywhere.
We believe that treats should do more than reward good behavior—they should contribute meaningful nutrition that supports overall wellness. By focusing on natural ingredients and thoughtful preparation methods, we aim to improve the daily lives of pets and their families.
We are committed to:
- Using real, wholesome ingredients
- Avoiding fillers, byproducts, and artificial flavors
- Supporting better nutrition for dogs
- Creating treats that pets truly love
- Delivering consistent quality in every batch
Every recipe is developed with purpose, ensuring that treats are both delicious and beneficial to a dog’s well-being.
Our Story
Plato Pet Treats was founded in 2006 by Aaron Merrell after a life-changing experience with his beloved Border Collie. When his dog faced serious health challenges, Aaron focused on providing nourishing, high-quality food to improve her quality of life.
Remarkably, his dog went on to live four more years, reinforcing the connection between wholesome nutrition and overall pet health. Inspired by this experience, Aaron founded Plato Pet Treats to share nutritious, carefully crafted treats with pet families everywhere.
What began as a personal mission quickly evolved into a trusted brand dedicated to improving the lives of dogs through better nutrition.

Real Ingredients Make the Difference
We believe that what goes into a treat matters just as much as how it’s made.
That’s why Plato Pet Treats focuses on ingredient transparency—using recognizable, high-quality components that support better nutrition. Many of our recipes feature single-source proteins and natural ingredients designed to support digestion, skin health, and overall wellness.
Unlike conventional treats that rely on empty calories, our products are designed to provide meaningful nutrition, not just rewards.
